Our studies focus on the role of first impressions in rater-based assessments. First impressions are formed in the first few seconds after meeting someone new. The same applies to raters who assess the competence and skills of trainees. How fast are these first impressions formed? How do they influence raters’ final judgments? These are some of the core questions for our research.
