Jorie Versmissen is an internist-clinical pharmacologist specialized in vascular medicine. She works both at the department of internal medicine and hospital pharmacy and is the educational lead for clinical pharmacology. Her clinical research focuses on hypertension and cardiovascular side effects of anticancer treatment, more information can be found here. Besides, she is involved in teaching pharmacotherapy and developing teaching innovations such as the Erasmus+-funded development of an interdisciplinary teaching program for nurses, pharmacists and medical doctors together. Currently, she supervises together with Floor van Rosse three PhD students in the area of teaching to investigate the effects of these innovations.
