Lara van Peppen is an educational researcher and consultant at the University Medical Center Rotterdam. She holds a master’s degree in cognitive psychology (2015) and a Ph.D. degree in educational psychology (2020) and is, not surprisingly, highly interested in human learning. Lara specializes in critical thinking in higher education, more specifically, in training students to avoid bias in their reasoning and decision-making. Within iMERR, her research focuses on instructional design of serious games for interprofessional teamwork and (workplace-based) assessment and feedback in the clerkships. Moreover, she is involved in the iMERR clinical reasoning research meetings.
